I've had a couple guys from a friend's company help me out with projects over the last couple months, and they're great. So great that I want to recommend their services for weekend gigs, doing anything labor or building intensive. They are skilled handymen all around, and have done things for me like helping me move, fixing my stove, building shelves, and a custom closet/ clothes hanger, and some minor wiring work. Their names are Ae and Nong, and both of these guys are working weekends to help pay the bills (and provide for wife and kids) as money is tight for everyone these days. They work hard, and they work smart. They also understand being cautious with spending your money when it comes to sourcing materials to get a project done. If you speak Thai, feel free to contact Ae directly: 084-808-7831; his spoken English is limited, but he understands most of what he hears; Thai is better. If you need to get in touch with a Farang (me) to help coordinate (I speak Thai fluently) then kindly respond to the ad along with your contact info, and it will be my pleasure to help get things rolling for you.
The boys are expecting anywhere from 500B-1,000B ea, per day, based on the nature of the work. I wouldn't help them out and post if I didn't think they were worth every satang!
