Every Monday Night, 19:00 – 20:30
Free and Open to Everyone: Group meditation practice, based on the Tibetan Buddhist teachings and practices of Shambhala, as taught by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. Open to anyone interested in learning how to meditate or for anyone who already has a regular practice. The meditation session is 45 minutes, followed by 45 minutes for discussion or a video.

“In meditation, we train the mind to wake up. First we train it to focus on what is happening in the moment, underneath our habitual self-absorption. The mindfulness and awareness we learn offer the revolutionary opportunity to observe the movement of the mind without being swept into it. In following the breath we soon see that thoughts are mere vibrations of the mind, not our personal identity. In relaxing our grip on “me,” we’re laying the foundation for a shift in attitude that has the power to change our lives.” ~Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

Directions: Take the subway to the Queen Sirikit station, and exit #4 to Soi Phai Sing To. You’ll see the building, “Monterey Place”, on the right as you’re coming up the escalator out of the subway. Turn left to get to the road (Soi Phai Sing To). The meditation room is next to the fitness equipment on the 7th floor.
