What is a world timer and how does it work? A world timer function allows you to cycle through the different time zones marked on the outside of the dial. This is especially useful for frequent travelers and those that do business in several different time zones. All you have to do with this watch is pull the crown to the "1" position, the second hand will point to your current time zone (BKK in this case) and then you rotate the crown to select your desired time zone.
What is a perpetual calendar? This is an amazing function and extremely convenient in a solar powered quartz movement. What is does is allow you to set the Month, Day and when the last leap year occurred. I just set it again now so if you keep it near a light source or wear it frequently, you shouldn't have to reset the watch for another 83 years. It knows when the last day of the month is, whether it is the 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st, so it will automatically cycle to the 1st at midnight. It is a really cool feature and easy to set if you follow the instructions. It does not set like a normal watch so read the manual before your try to do anything.
What is the Radio Controlled function? Unfortunately you cannot pick up the signal from Thailand so I found that rather disappointing. There are signals throughout the USA, Japan, China and Europe that will automatically set your watch for you to the second. You can also activate this manually but again, not here. :/
It has been worn but it has never been damaged and is in immaculate condition. I'm happy to keep it if I don't find a buyer. Especially since I just played with it again for the first time in about a year.
